One of McElroy's most popular products is the Rolling 618 Fusion Machine. The machine, like other McElroy machines, has a universal, readily removable four-jaw carriage that makes distant fusion operations easier. The machine is a kind of middle ground between large and small diameter fusion. The outer jaw and skid are also detachable from the carriage, making it easier to use the equipment in situations when space is limited.
The TracStar 28 Series 2 fusion machines have a changeable 4-jaw carriage that can be easily removed for in-ditch fusions. For tighter installations, the carriage's outer fixed jaw and skid can be removed, making it a 3-jaw carriage with a more compact fusion unit.
The TracStar 618 Fusion Machine, on the other hand, has a new electrical system with improved circuit safety and a better cowling design for effective heat dissipation. A simple disconnecting of the battery simplified lockout as well. The facer, heater, machine, insulated heater stand, lifting assembly, and inserts for 12"IPS butt fusion are all included in the package.
